The Wayland Mill is an all-day gathering space, cafe & restaurant in the Northlake Commons. We serve our interpretation of the Japanese-Americana cuisine that comforted us as we grew up and came of age in the Midwestern US, that we sought out as we lived and worked our way around the West Coast, and that we still crave when we want to feel a connection to home and travel, past and present.
Located in the mass timber-built Northlake Commons, The Wayland Mill is an all-day gathering space, cafe & restaurant.
Our name pays homage to the cedar shingle mill that once operated across the street from our site, along the water’s edge of Lake Union.
